A new species of Chrysomelidae Alticinae from Morocco: Longitarsus idilphilus is described. The new taxon is closely related to L. suturalis (Marsham), but easily distinguishable mainly by shape of the spermatheca. Systematic, biometric, zoogeographical and biological considerations on the species of L. suturalis group are given also.
