Journal of Mining and Strata Control Engineering is an academic journal supervised by China Coal Technology and Industry Group Company Limited and organised by the General Research Institute of Coal Science Limited. It is a bimonthly journal, published on the 25th of each month. It mainly publishes the latest research theories and achievements of mining engineering, mine rock mechanics and rock control, green mining, intelligent mining and other directions with high academic level and practical value. Journal of Mining and Strata Control Engineering is a Chinese core journal, Chinese science and technology core journal, and is included in the catalogue of high-quality science and technology journals classification catalogue and the catalogue of ‘World Journal Impact Index (WJCI) Report (2021 Science and Technology Edition)’. 　　In 2021, it will be included in the Scopus database, and all the articles published since its inception will be included in it. 　　Selected as one of the ‘China Outstanding Academic Journals with International Influence’ in 2022. 　　Selected as ‘China's Most Internationally Influential Academic Journal’ in 2023. According to the 2023 edition of China Science and Technology Journal Citation Report (Core Edition) Natural Science Volume, Journal of Mining and Rock Formation Control Engineering has an impact factor of 2.735 among 25 core journals in the discipline of ‘Mining Engineering and Technology’, ranking No.2 in the discipline, and the ‘Annual Report of Impact Factor of Chinese Academic Journals (Natural Science and Engineering and Technology) 2023 Edition’ has an impact factor of 2.735. According to ‘2023 Edition’, among 75 journals in the discipline of ‘Mining Engineering and Technology’, ‘Journal of Mining and Rock Control Engineering’ has a compound impact factor of 5.102 and a comprehensive impact factor of 3.908. The purpose of the journal is to introduce new theories, new methods, new technologies and new achievements in the fields of mining engineering, mine rock mechanics and rock control engineering and interdisciplinary fields, to promote the development of the disciplines of mining engineering, rock mechanics and rock control engineering, and to strengthen the academic exchanges, talent cultivation and modernisation between China and the world.
