《中国刑事法杂志》由最高人民检察院主管、最高人民检察院检察理论研究所主办，是目前国内唯一的刑事法领域的专业学术期刊。该期刊创刊于1991年7月10日，原刊名为“检察理论研究”，创刊号为《检察理论研究》1991年第1期，主办单位为中国检察理论研究所、中国检察学会。1999年6月10日，即自1999年第3期始，《中国刑事法杂志（原〈检察理论研究〉）》更名为“中国刑事法杂志”，从此沿用至今。2004年5月15日，即自2004年第3期始，《中国刑事法杂志》的主办单位更名为最高人民检察院检察理论研究所，从此沿用至今。该杂志常年开设“专论”“专题”“刑法理论”“个罪研究”“诉讼理论”“青年论坛”“域外视野”等栏目。《中国刑事法杂志》致力于“服务司法实践，引领学术潮流”，通过打造精品学术平台凝聚法律职业共同体的集体智慧，为法治中国建设贡献力量。
