Abstract

: Listening learning is one of the most difficult learning contents for college students in the process of English learning. There are several reasons why listening learning can be challenging for college students. Firstly, the speed at which native speakers speak can be overwhelming, especially for non-native learners who are still developing their language skills. Additionally, the use of idioms, slang, and cultural references in spoken English can further complicate comprehension. Therefore, strengthening the research of listening teaching mode plays an important role in promoting students' English learning and improving students' comprehensive English application ability. At present, with the development of globalization and the popularization of information technology, English has become an important tool for international communication. Therefore, cultivating students' listening skills is essential for their future career development and cross-cultural communication. Therefore, studying different listening teaching models and exploring methods suitable for students are essential to improve their listening level.
