Abstract
The article discusses the technologies and standards of modern communication systems in terms of transceiver devices structure from analog-to-digital conversion to a stream of symbol decisions at the demodulator output. Structural classification of wired/wireless networks, communication standards, types of signal modulation has been carried out.
