Abstract
The presence of malathion (Mal) residues in food and water environment have garnered widespread public concern. Here, we developed PCN-224-supported Pt nanozymes through an in-situ reduction method, where the porous porphyrin framework and Pt sites jointly promote electron transfer and provide more active centers, leading to drastically enhanced oxidase (OXD)-mimicking activity. The obtained PCN-224@Pt can directly oxidize colorless TMB to blue oxTMB without H2O2, while the specific adsorption of Mal on the nanozyme surface will shield active sites and inhibit the catalytic reaction. Accordingly, a colorimetric sensor was then established to achieve sensitive determination of Mal in a linear detection range from 0.01 to 2.5 μg/mL with a low detection limit (LOD) of 6.62 ng/mL. Moreover, this platform displayed high selectivity and stability in food and water samples, with satisfactory recoveries of 90.1 %-107.7 % (RSDs < 9.31 %). This strategy provides a new attempt to construct nanozyme probes for direct detection of Mal, suitable for visual analysis in food and water environments.
期刊介绍:
Talanta provides a forum for the publication of original research papers, short communications, and critical reviews in all branches of pure and applied analytical chemistry. Papers are evaluated based on established guidelines, including the fundamental nature of the study, scientific novelty, substantial improvement or advantage over existing technology or methods, and demonstrated analytical applicability. Original research papers on fundamental studies, and on novel sensor and instrumentation developments, are encouraged. Novel or improved applications in areas such as clinical and biological chemistry, environmental analysis, geochemistry, materials science and engineering, and analytical platforms for omics development are welcome.
Analytical performance of methods should be determined, including interference and matrix effects, and methods should be validated by comparison with a standard method, or analysis of a certified reference material. Simple spiking recoveries may not be sufficient. The developed method should especially comprise information on selectivity, sensitivity, detection limits, accuracy, and reliability. However, applying official validation or robustness studies to a routine method or technique does not necessarily constitute novelty. Proper statistical treatment of the data should be provided. Relevant literature should be cited, including related publications by the authors, and authors should discuss how their proposed methodology compares with previously reported methods.
