Abstract

In this work a step by step planar transformer design procedure for Flyback switch-mode DC-DC converter application is presented. This transformer has a maximum dimension of 2 cm/spl times/2 cm/spl times/0.4 cm aiming to achieve an efficiency of 99% at an operating frequency of 500 kHz. This planar transformer is designed specially for thick film technology development.
