City Prosperity Index as A Tool for Urban Regeneration: A Case Study of Ibadan, Nigeria 城市繁荣指数作为城市更新的工具:以尼日利亚伊巴丹为例

The need to establish the social, economic, and environmental sustainability aspect of cities cannot be overemphasized. However, urban regeneration projects are not new to urban centers, several studies have revealed the shortcomings associated with the study of the methods to ensure urban regeneration practices and their planning processes are sustainable. This study examined some well-developed strategies for sustainable urban growth within Ibadan city. The method of data collection for this study was qualitatively structured to acquire pertinent data for the assessment of the current state of Ibadan city prosperity. Findings established that Ibadan city lacked community cohesion, poor civic identity, varying degree of security threats, poor mobility and connectivity consequent upon poor standard of living of the populace. Urban growth has no properly managed in the city as shown by the study. The needs for planning process that can curtail, manage, and ultimately create satisfaction for its citizenry is recommended for Ibadan city.

Intervention Plan Development to Enhance Social Connection of Ashwa Community 制定干预计划以加强阿什瓦社区的社会联系

Mental health communities play a vital role in providing emotional support as they contribute to stress reduction, anxiety and depression prevention, alleviating loneliness, and even potentially extending one's lifespan. To strengthen social connections within the Ashwa community, it is crucial to implement interventions that address their specific needs. This study aims to develop an intervention plan tailored to the Ashwa community's requirements, with the objective of enhancing social connections among its members. Data collection involves conducting interviews with community members who actively participate in discussions or casual conversations on the community's Discord group, enabling identification of their specific needs. These needs are then transcribed, coded, and translated into intervention plans. The plans undergo a rigorous process of confirmation, validation, and review by mental health professionals as part of a triangulation process. The outcomes of this process lead to the development of three intervention plans: peer support groups, bonding and connection activities, and routine reminders as mental health support for the Ashwa community. Further research is highly recommended to evaluate the effectiveness of these interventions, which could be assessed through pre- and post-implementation measurements.

Examining the Impact of Organizational Commitment on Job Stress and Turnover Intention in The Malaysian Hotel Industry 检视马来西亚酒店业组织承诺对工作压力及离职倾向的影响

The hotel sector has played a significant role in supporting Malaysia's economic growth by providing accommodation to tourists and complementing the tourism industry. However, Malaysia has experienced high turnover rates in the hotel industry. Therefore, it is essential to conduct research to address this issue. This study aims to examine the impact of job stress on turnover intention among hotel employees and explore whether organizational commitment acts as a mediating factor in this relationship. This quantitative cross-sectional study collected primary data from 107 employees working in hotels in Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh using convenience sampling. The collected data was analysed using various statistical techniques in the SPSS statistical package. The results indicated that job stress was a significant predictor of turnover intention, but organizational commitment did not have a mediating effect in this relationship. The study raises awareness among employers in the hotel industry regarding the impact of job stress on their employees. Consequently, the discussion and implications section offer several suggestions to address this problem.

The Role of Destination Emotion in Domestic Destination Choice Intention of Students: Preliminary Testing of Scale 目的地情绪在学生国内目的地选择意向中的作用:量表的初步检验

The student travel market has boomed in Vietnam in recent years. This growth has brought significant opportunities for domestic tourism destinations as student travelers often prefer short-haul journeys due to poor budget. Understanding their destination choices is crucial for policy-makers of those destinations. The purpose of this article is to propose a conceptual model for predicting the intention of domestic tourism destination choice among student travelers and test measurement scales preliminarily. Building upon literature review, the paper integrates destination emotion into the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) model. Consequently, in the extended TPB model, intention to visit a domestic destinationin of a student is assumed to be influenced directly and positively not only by the original factors (attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control) but also by emotions towards the destination such as joy, love, and positive surprise. Moreover, preliminary test revealed that measurement scales are suitable for further research.
