Goal. To establish the species composition of weeds, their dominant role and determine the type and level of weediness of soybean crops for cultivation in a fixed nine-course stationary, fallow-crop-row rotation and in monoculture in the eastern part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Methods. The research was conducted by route surveys in field experiments. Results. According to the research of 2011—2017, 30 species of weeds and contaminants were found in soybean crops after winter wheat as forecrop in the stationary crop rotation (spring early and late were 60%, winter and biennial were 17%, perennial were 23%), and 18 species (spring early and late were 72%, wintering and biennial were 6%, perennial were 22%) were found for cultivation in monoculture. They belonged to 16 families, the families Asteraceae (9 species), Poaceae (5 species) and Polygonaceae (5 species) were the most represented. The main weeds in soybean crops in crop rotation and monoculture were Echinochloa crus-galli (L.) Roem. et Schult., Chenopodium album L., Cirsium arvense (L.) Scop. and Panicum miliaceum L. In addition to these weeds for growing soybeans in crop rotation were present Setaria glauca (L.) Beauv., Amaranthus retroflexus L., Solanum nigrum L., Polygonum lapathifolium L., Sonchus arvensis L., Convolvulus arvensis L., and in monoculture were Ambrosia artemisiifolia L. and Xanthium strumarium L. Xanthium strumarium L. was the most dominant in the monoculture (43%), and Setaria glauca (L.) Beauv was subdominant in crop rotation (57%), and Echinochloa crus-galli (L.) Roem. and Schult. was subdominant in monoculture (57%). Six complex types of weeds were formed in soybean crops, cereal-dicotyledonous-dicotyledonous-root-sprouting and dicotyledonous-grass-annual-grass-root-sprouting prevailed. For cultivation in crop rotation cereal annual species predominated, and dicotyledonous annuals predominated in monoculture. At the same time, the monoculture had a higher level of weeding than crop rotation, or it was equivalent. Conclusions. The species composition of weeds in soybean crops in fallow-crop-row rotation and monoculture differs significantly, which should be taken into account by the agronomic service of farms when developing methods of their control.

Goal. To investigate the bioecological and morphological features of the sea buckthorn fly, to evaluate the manifestations of parasitism and methods of phytophage control in agrocenoses of the sea buckthorn. Methods. Census of sea buckthorn flies was carried out in agrocenoses of sea buckthorn of the The Institute of Horticulture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, its research network. The studies used sea buckthorn varieties of domestic and foreign selection, which differ in ripeness groups: mid-early, mid-ripening, late-ripening. Results. In the conditions of the Polesia-Forest-Steppe and Forest-Steppe ecotopes, a pest of agrocenoses of the sea buckthorn buckthorn fly was revealed. Bioecological features and morphological characteristics of this pest have been investigated. It has been established that in the conditions of the Western and Northern Forest-steppe of Ukraine, mid-early and mid-season varieties of sea buckthorn suffer from the sea buckthorn fly. A set of measures has been developed for the use of elements of agricultural technology, biological and chemical preparations for the control of sea buckthorn flies in sea buckthorn agrocenoses. Conclusions. It has been shown that the populations of the sea buckthorn fly are numerous on plants of early and mid-season varieties of sea buckthorn, in particular, on such as: Chuiskaya, Pagorbova, Morkvyana, Pavilionna. It was found that the larvae of flies penetrate the fruits, where they feed on the pulp, after which the sea buckthorn fruits become completely unsuitable for fresh consumption and for processing. Research carried out during 2017—2020 in the conditions of the Polesia-Forest-Steppe and Forest-Steppe ecotopes, it was possible to identify varieties of sea buckthorn (Orangevya, Adaptyvna), which are relatively resistant to sea buckthorn fly. It has been established that carrying out agrotechnical measures for loosening the soil in the near-stem part of plants and aisles, sowing perennial herbaceous vegetation in the aisles against the background of changing weather conditions significantly inhibits the development of the sea buckthorn fly and reduces damage to sea buckthorn fruits.

Goal. To study the effect of Urea on the properties of working solutions of emulsions and suspensions of chemical and microbiological drugs in plant protection against pests. Methods. Information-analytical analysis of the effectiveness of joint use of insecticides with Urea. Laboratory experiments on the effect of Urea on: evaporation of droplets from the treated surface; surface tension; reaction of the medium of suspensions and emulsions of working solutions of chemical and microbiological preparations. To do this, in aqueous solutions of insecticides and biological products in concentrations recommended for use in field crops, was added 0.2% aqueous solution of Urea. After a certain period of time, the characteristics of the solutions were determined. An analytical generalization of the change in the properties of working solutions under the influence of urea is carried out. Results. The information on the possibilities of joint use of insecticides and microbiological preparations with Urea in a single technological process is generalized. Their combination leads to a significant reduction in the evaporation of solution droplets from the treated surface, but does not affect the surface tension and reaction of the solutions. Conclusions. Urea is an active anti-evaporator of working solutions of insecticides of various nature. Adding it to the solutions of evaporation of drops from the treated surface reduces more than 1.5 times. It does not significantly affect the surface tension and reaction of the solution. This characteristic of the solutions is maintained for 24 hours after preparation.

Goal. Analyze the data of foreign and domestic literature on viruses that infect gladioli, risks for domestic agriculture, present the results of the study of viral diseases on gladioli in Ukraine. Methods. Review of information in foreign and domestic literature on viruses that infect gladioli. Visual diagnostics, transmission electron microscopy, double sandwich enzyme immunoassay (DAS-ELISA). Results. Gladioli infect viruses: cucumber mosaic virus, bean yellow mosaic virus, tobacco rattle virus, tobacco ringspot virus, which belongs to regulated pests in Ukraine. These pathogens are common on all continents where plants are grown, have a wide range of host plants and pose a potential threat to crops. In the case of a systemic reaction of a plant to a viral infection, the symptoms lead to a loss of aesthetic value by the plant, economic losses in the floriculture industry, degeneration of varieties in the collections of botanical gardens and private farms, problems in further selective selection for creating new varieties. Possible means of protection and prevention of the spread of viruses to other types of cultivated plants are considered. Conclusions. Gladiolus plants can infect 9 types of viruses, among which the most common and harmful are cucumber mosaic, yellow bean mosaic and tobacco pogrimovka viruses. A yellow bean mosaic virus and a cucumber mosaic virus have been identified in Ukraine. It is especially dangerous that these viral infections can be asymptomatic and gladioli become reservoirs for the preservation and transmission of viruses to other plant crops sensitive to pathogens.

Goal. Clarification of the species of vegetation on uncultivated lands of Polessye, Zhytomyr region, which have been withdrawn from agricultural use for a long time. Methods. Field research, expedition — route observations, statistical analysis. Monitoring of vegetation of lands that came out of agricultural use and the study of species of plant groups was carried out during 2011—2015 in the southern Yemilchyn and Novohrad-Volynskyi and northern — Ovruch and Narodytsky districts of Zhytomyr region. Results. The vegetation cover of uncultivated lands of Polessye part of Zhytomyr region has been studied. During the years of non-use of land in agricultural circulation, separate micro-groups of plants have been formed, the area of which is gradually increasing. Six microgroups belonging to two associations were identified and studied. The first association of Poo-Festucetum pratensis was on a close-knit medium-high mane, which included three microgroups with a predominance of meadow oatgrass, meadow clover, and common viper. The second association, Poopalustris-Alopecuretum pratensis, was found on lowland plains and included microgroups with a predominance of meadow foxtail, mouse pea, and northern butterbur. It was determined that both plant groups of the surveyed areas were dominated (according to Raunkier) by hemicryptophytes — plants whose buds are at ground level or submerged up to 5 cm — 87.1 % in the southern and 91.3 % in the northern regions of Zhytomyr region. A smaller number of 3.2 and 8.7 % are hamephytes — plants whose buds are 20—30 cm above ground level. Conclusions. It has been established that uncultivated lands of the Polessye part of Zhytomyr region, under the influence of natural factors, are intensively transformed into unsuitable lands and reserves of malignant weeds, which cause a steady risk of constant threat of their spread to arable lands. Vegetation of lands withdrawn from agricultural use includes in the southern regions of Zhytomyr region. — Yemilchynsky and Novograd-Volynsky groups of weeds of 23 species from 21 genera, 13 families, in the northern districts — Ovruch and Narodytsky — 31 species from 26 genera, 11 families.

Goal. To determine the species composition of the complex of pathogens of bunt diseases of the genus Tilletia on winter wheat grain. Methods. The research was conducted during 2017—2020. 315 samples of winter wheat grain from different soil and climatic zones were analyzed. Seed contamination was determined by washing the grains and centrifuging the spore suspension, followed by counting their number in the Goryaev chamber. Identification of the pathogen was performed in the laboratory by microscopic examination, taking into account the morphological features of teliospores. Results. In 2017 and 2018, the presence of spores of fungi of the genus Tilletia was detected in 23.5 and 28.6% of the analyzed wheat grain samples, respectively. The number of spores per grain varied between 11—388.9 and 2.8—214.8 and averaged 72.5 and 33.7 correspondingly. The largest number of infected samples was observed in 2019 — 47.4%. In the same period, the highest level of seed contamination was observed — up to 1089 spores per grain, in average — 124.6 spores per grain. The lowest level of grain contamination was detected in 2020 — 6.3% of samples with an average of 3.7 spores per grain. Mostly spores of bunt pathogens were found in grain samples from Ternopil, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Lviv, Vinnytsia regions. The following species have been identified: Tilletia caries, T. controversa, T. laevis. Pathogen T. caries was detected annually. It dominated in 2020 and ranked second in detection rate in 2017—2019. T. controversa was found on grain in 2017—2019 and prevailed among other species. Its part in the complex of pathogens varied from 77.1 to 87.5%. In 2018, T. laevis was also detected. Conclusions. In most samples, spores of fungi of the genus Tilletia were not detected. On average, according to the years of research, grain contamination by bunt fungi were detected in 6.3—47.4% of samples with an average spore load of 3.7—124.6 of grain. The highest number of infected samples and the level of contamination were observed in 2019, the lowest — in 2020. The complex of pathogens is represented by three species: T. caries, T. laevis, T. controversa. T. controversa dominated in 2017—2019 and T. caries — in 2020. T. laevis occurred sporadically.

Mostly spores of bunt pathogens were found in grain samples from Ternopil, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Lviv, Vinnytsia regions. The following species have been identified: Tilletia caries, T. controversa, T. laevis. Pathogen T. caries was detected annually. It dominated in 2020 and ranked second in detection rate in 2017—2019. T. controversa was found on grain in 2017—2019 and prevailed among other species. Its part in the complex of pathogens varied from 77.1 to 87.5%. In 2018, T. laevis was also detected. \u0000Conclusions. In most samples, spores of fungi of the genus Tilletia were not detected. On average, according to the years of research, grain contamination by bunt fungi were detected in 6.3—47.4% of samples with an average spore load of 3.7—124.6 of grain. The highest number of infected samples and the level of contamination were observed in 2019, the lowest — in 2020. The complex of pathogens is represented by three species: T. caries, T. laevis, T. controversa. T. controversa dominated in 2017—2019 and T. caries — in 2020. T. laevis occurred sporadically.","PeriodicalId":238317,"journal":{"name":"Karantin i zahist roslin","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134560367","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Goal. To clarify the species composition of carabids in spring wheat agrocenosis, to determine the dominant species, to compare the number of ground beetles on application of mineral fertilizers and organic nutrients. Methods. Field method — accounting of insects on the sowing of spring wheat in accordance with generally accepted methods. Laboratory method — determination of the species composition of ground beetles. The study was conducted in 2017—2019 on the basis of National Research Center «Institute of Agriculture of NAAS of Ukraine», department of plant protection against pests and diseases (Chabany, Kyiv-Sviatoshynskyi district, Kyiv region). Results. The species composition of carabid beetles on the sowings of spring wheat under modern conditions has been specified. 41 species of ground beetles from 15 genera were found. On application of mineral fertilizers, the dominant species were Bembidion properans Stephens, 1828, Harpalus affinis Schrank, 1781, Harpalus rufipes De Geer, 1774, Poecilus cupreus Linnaeus, 1758, Harpalus distinguendus Duftschmid, 1812. H. affinis Schr., H. rufipes Deg., H. distinguendus Duft., P. cupreus L., Calathus fuscipes Goeze, 1777, Harpalus smaragdinus Duftschmid, 1812 were dominant species on application of organic nutrients. In both variants, Broscus cephalotes Linnaeus, 1758, Poecilus punctulatus Schaller, 1783, Poecilus versicolor Sturm, 1824, Microlestes minutulus Goeze, 1777 were subdominant species. The ratio of trophic groups of carabid beetles in the agrocenosis of spring wheat has been established. The seasonal dynamics of the number of ground beetles has been reflected. Conclusions. In the first variant (mineral fretilizers) 40 species of carabids were registered, in the second (organic nutrients) — 35. Among all identified species (according to trophic specialization) the number of phytophages and zoophages was similar — 21 and 19, but in the experimental variants their ratio differed. The average number of ground beetles during 2017—2019 was: variant 1 — 30.8 specimens per trap, variant 2 — 28.1 specimens per trap.

Goal. Investigate the possibility to use 1,8-naphthalic anhydride metabolism inductor to control acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitor-resistant biotype of common graminicides of aryloxyphenoxypropionic acid class in rice. Methodology. The interaction of 1,8-naphthalic anhydride and fenoxaprop-p-ethyl on variety Vikont rice plants was studied under laboratory aseptic conditions. The data were statistically processed. Results. In Ukraine we have identified the biotype of resistant to herbicide ALS inhibitors Echinochloa crus-galli, which is cross-resistant to widely used herbicides — ALS inhibitors of the following chemical classes: imidazolinones (imazamox, imazapyr), sulfonylurea (nicosulfuron), triazolopyrimidines (penoxsulam). The possibilities of chemical control of weeds in rice, corn, sunflower, etc. crops are significantly limited. Multi-resistance of this weed biotype to herbicides — inhibitors of photosynthesis, mitotic cycle, 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase, acetyl-CoA-carboxylase, protein synthesis — has not been detected. Therefore, the use of graminicides of aryloxyphenoxypropionate class is promising for the control of this ALS-resistant biotype of Echinochloa crus-galli. To increase the selectivity of fenoxaprop-P-ethyl application to rice plants, we propose to treat the seeds of the crop with the inductor of xenobiotics metabolism in plants — 1.8-naphthalic anhydride before sowing. When using 1.8-naphthalic anhydride in concentrations of 10-5 M, phytotoxicity of fenoxaprop-P-ethyl in concentrations of 10-6 and 10-5 M to rice plants is effectively reduced. Conclusions. The use of 1.8-naphthalic anhydride is promising for increasing the selectivity of fenoxaprop-P-ethyl for rice plants and allows the development of technologies using graminicides of aryloxyphenoxypropionate class to control ALS-resistant biotype of Echinochloa crus-galli in crops. Also, it is necessary to pay attention to the problem of ALS-resistant weed biotype proliferation control in agrophytocenoses in regions of Ukraine.

Goal. Determination of soil contamination of plots planted for planting black poplar and evaluation of seed productivity of weeds. Methods. The level of seed productivity of the weeds was determined by the weighting method in the following sequence. In the experiment, 10 plants of one weed species were cut and manually threshed on a tarpaulin. The purified seeds were weighed and, after determining the mass of 1000 seeds, the average amount (thousand units /plant) of seeds per plant was converted. Results. The problem with perennial plantations of bioenergy crops is that the plants are grown for 10—15 years in monoculture on the same section of the field. Consequently, large stocks of certain weeds in the soil can significantly affect the growth and development and productivity level of cultivated plants. So, before planting a plantation, it is necessary to assess the clogging of the plots for the presence of problematic weed species, which can potentially breed on black poplar plantings and impede effective plant care. Virtually all arable land is mothballed with a different weed seed bank. Weed seed stocks depend on the direction of use of the plot, the culture of agriculture, the quality of agricultural operations on care, crop rotation, culture, etc. However, two areas with the same seed reserves in the soil are difficult to find, although the percentage of the main weed species may be identical. Conclusions. Weeds traditionally have high seed productivity and form large seed banks in the arable soil, reaching 1.5—2.0 million units / ha. Bioenergy crops, especially perennial species, are extremely sensitive to weeds in the first year of growing season. Because they form rather modest growths of vegetative mass and can not receive photosynthetically active energy to the soil, and therefore it is important to ensure the purity of the field from weeds during the first year of vegetation.

Goal. To identify the features of the infestation of crops of lentils and improve on this basis, the elements of chemical protection from adverse impact of weeds. Methods. Field experiments were laid out in 2016—2019 according to the scheme: 1. Clogged control. 2. “Clean” control. 3. Gesagard 500 WF + Panther 4%, K. E. (3 l/ ha + 1 l/ ha). 4. Zenkor 70 WG + Targa Super, k.e. (0.6 l/ ha + 1.0 l/ ha). 5. Stomp 330, k.e. + FUSILADE Forte 150 EC, k.e. (3.0 l/ ha + 0.7 l/ ha). Results. The contamination of crops of lentils in the years of research had mixed. As a result of pre-release areas from the presence of perennial plants (couch grass, convolvulus arvensis) weeds, mostly introduced annual grasses and dicotyledonous species. The most widespread in crops were plants of foxtail glaucous — 19.5 pieces/ m2 (22.5% in the structure of impurity), Echinochloa ordinary and 17.3 (19.9%), amaranth thrown back to 10.7 (12.3%), nightshade black — 6,8 pieces/ m2 (7.8%). In General, the time of counts (end of III decade of may) the number of weeds was 86.7 pieces/ m2. Use for protection of lentil combinations of herbicides of soil action of Gezagard 500 FW, k.s. (3.0 l/ ha) and graminicide Panther, 4% k.e. (1.0 l/ ha) reduced the ability of those present in the crops of weeds to form their mass. In average per years of research, the mass of weeds in crops of version 3 testing amounted to a total of 388 g/ m2 or 13.6% of the weedy control. Herbicides provided the reduction of the mass of weeds in 86.4%. Conclusions. In terms of the use of herbicides of Gezagard 500 FW, k.s. (3.0 l/ ha) + Panther, 4% k.e. (1.0 l/ ha) received an average of 1.49 t/ ha of seeds, or 83.7% of the maximum in the testing of the level of harvest. Much more effective was the use Zenkor 70 WG, v.g. (0.6 l/ ha) Targa Super 5% k.e. (1.0 l/ ha) and stomp 330, k.e. (3.0 l/ ha) + FUSILADE Forte 15% k.e. (0.7 l/ ha), which provided the formation of 1.61 and 1.56 t/ ha of seeds, 90.4 and 87.6% of the “clean” control, respectively.
