FACILITATING MUD DESIGN, CEMENTING JOB DESIGN AND THE ENTIRE DRILLING OPERATIONS BY MODELLING THE RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF WATER-BASED MUD AND OIL-BASED MUD WITH TEMPERATURE 通过模拟水基泥浆和油基泥浆随温度的流变特性,简化泥浆设计、固井作业设计和整个钻井作业

The increasing rental cost of drilling Rig and the associated painful cost of downtime during drilling operations are some of the major concerns of the oil & gas companies. Improper rheological properties of drilling mud may cause a variety of problems including insufficient cuttings transport, limited solids suspension, poor hole-cleaning and excess filtrate loss into the formation. Facilitating mud design, cementing job design and the entire drilling operations will save Rig time and associated cost and prompt management of oil & gas companies to devote more of their useful time and resources to other significant aspects of their operations. The aforesaid prompted this work to invent a method for developing mathematical models representing the rheological parameters of drilling mud (water-based mud and oil-based mud) to enable prediction of the rheological properties in emergency situations where and when Laboratory services are not immediately available. The methods applied include Laboratory testing and mathematical modelling. Results revealed that the mathematical models can be confidently applied to predict the Plastic viscosity and Yield stress of water based mud and oil-based mud as the correlation coefficient (R-squared value) obtained for each of the aforesaid rheological properties was higher than 95% Therefore, as the rheological properties of water-based mud and oil-based mud depend on their composition, physical and chemical properties, mathematical models should be proactively developed for the Plastic viscosity and Yield stress for every mud in hole to enable prediction of the its rheological parameters when and where laboratory services are not immediately available.

UNDERAGE CITIZENS MONITORING APPLICATIONS - A REVIEW OF THE STATE OF THE ART AND GUIDELINES FOR FUTURE IMPLEMENTATIONS 未成年公民监控应用程序——对技术现状和未来实施指南的回顾

Children's safety is a constant concern, both for parents and the institutions in which they are entrusted with care. There are several dangers and situations that can jeopardize children's safety. It is, therefore, important to have constant monitoring and preventive monitoring. This need, together with the technological means available nowadays, opens the way to the development of applications that allow better safety and monitoring of children's daily activities. The aim is to keep parents informed about where their children are and if there is anything they should be worried about. In this context, an analysis of the state of the art was carried out to identify the functionalities currently available to users of applications with this purpose. Through this analysis, essential functionalities were identified, such as real-time location on the map, location history, marking of safe areas and sending alerts. On the other hand, technological advances in various areas mean that there is room and opportunity to add value to what already exists and to contribute to answering existing problems. Therefore, in this article, besides the state of the art previously mentioned, it is also presented implementation lines for new mobile applications that may be developed in the future. The contributions of this article are, on the one hand to present what currently exists in terms of mobile applications to support the monitoring of children and on the other to propose lines of new features that current technology can provide in new applications.

This study introduces a self-sustained power solution for mobile devices using a stepper motor-driven mechanism. The objective is to ensure reliable power supply during critical situations when traditional sources are unavailable. A prototype device was designed and experimentally evaluated.The device utilizes a stepper motor as a generator, converting mechanical energy into electrical energy through a hand crank. A full bridge rectifier transforms the generated alternating current into direct current compatible with mobile devices. A battery serves as the primary power storage, enabling energy accumulation.Experimental testing verified the device's performance. Mobile devices, including cellphones, laptops, and routers, were connected to assess charging capabilities. The results demonstrated successful charging, providing dependable power during outages and inaccessible charging methods.The findings establish the stepper motor-driven self-sustained power device as a practical emergency power solution. It empowers individuals to maintain communication channels and power mobile devices during critical situations, enhancing resilience. Its versatility and portability ensure effectiveness in diverse locations where conventional power sources are unreliable.In conclusion, this study presents a novel self-sustained power solution employing a stepper motor-driven mechanism. Experimental results confirm its capability to charge mobile devices, supporting communication and resilience during emergencies. The device has significant potential to benefit individuals and communities, providing reliable power and improving emergency response and communication capabilities.

FUSION INDUCED BY ENERGY-INTENSIVE MULTIFUNCTION CAVITATION IN CONJUNCTION WITH POSITRON IRRADIATION 高能多功能空化联合正电子辐照诱导聚变

This review summarizes the development of multifunction cavitation technology and assesses future applications for this process. The focus is on attempts to increase the surface strength and functionality of various metals and plastics and to elucidate the conditions that can induce nuclear fusion by cavitation. An experimental setup capable of producing cavitation fusion based on positron-irradiated laser-assisted high-field energy-intensive functional cavitation is described, having the same basic structure as a prior device without positron irradiation. A combination of water jet, ultrasonic and magnetic field energy sources has been found to increase the sonoluminescence intensity and to theoretically exceed the threshold required for the D-T fusion reaction. This paper describes the incorporation of positron and laser energy sources to this system as a means of further increasing the internal temperature and pressure values of bubbles. Specifically, a Na-22 positron beam source was placed in the upper part of the reaction vessel in the direction of the magnetic field such that positrons were imparted to cavitation bubbles floating on the surface of degassed heavy acetone. These positrons were partially annihilated by interactions with electrons via the Compton effect to generate gamma-rays and energy via the reaction e+ + e- → 2γ + l.02 MeV. This energy promoted the D-T chain reaction D + T → 4He + n + 14 MeV to increase the probability of cavitation fusion.

MEASUREMENT AND ANALYSIS OF THE ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES OF REMEDIATED CRUDE OIL IMPACTED 修复后受影响原油电性能的测定与分析

Soil electrical properties are important parameters to be considered during the design of several electrical installations. This study gives an insight into the impact of crude oil contamination on the soil’s electrical behaviors and suitable remediation technique for the contaminated soil. Crude oil was spilled on the soil and this soil was thereafter remediated with poultry (organic) manure and NPK 15:15:15 fertilizer for a duration of 12 weeks; thereafter, some of the soil’s electrical properties (electrical dielectric constant, electrical conductivity and electrical resistivity) were measured in accordance with the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers standard guidelines. Results obtained revealed crude oil had negative impacts on the soil electrical properties; but the remediation agents alleviated these poor electrical properties of the contaminated soil samples. After the remediation programme, the dielectric constant of the contaminated soil treated with 0.5 kg manure (AXT 2) and 1 kg manure (AXT 3) declined by 56.38% and 47.21% respectively; while the contaminated soil treated with 200 g fertilizer (AXT 4) and 400 g fertilizer (AXT 5) declined by 57.49% and 64.54%respectively. The electrical conductivity of AXT 2, AXT 3, AXT 4 and AXT 5 soil samples increased by 46.48%, 50.89%, 32.84% and 41.70% respectively. Furthermore, the AXT 2, AXT 3, AXT 4 and AXT 5 electrical resistivity declined from 1362 Ωm to 579 Ωm, 1362 Ωm to 483 Ωm, 1362 Ωm to 719 Ωm, and 1362 Ωm to 594 Ωm respectively. This study’s revealed the relevance of remediating crude oil contaminated soil to preserve the electrical integrity of electrical installations.

EXPLORATION OF AVAILABLE OFFSITE CONSTRUCTION METHODS IN INDIAN CITIES FOR COST AND TIME SAVINGS IN HOUSING CONSTRUCTION 探索印度城市可用的非现场施工方法,以节省房屋建设的成本和时间

Observing the current rate of growth of Indian cities and their future predictions, there is a huge demand for urban housing. India aims to achieve adequate safe and affordable housing for all by 2030 and the current shortage of dwelling units is at 20 million and rising. Achieving such huge demands in a short time using traditional construction methods have a lot of drawbacks like rise in pollution, construction waste, worker safety etc., which in turn cause hikes in cost and time of completion of a project. Offsite techniques can help mitigate or avoid a lot of these ill effects by transferring all impeding activities to a controlled environment. Here we identify the suitable and most convenient approach of construction that can be followed by comparing offsite construction with traditional construction and composite construction. Then evaluate the identified offsite building techniques available to us and, based on Cost and Time parameters to identify a most feasible solution, by tabulating the time and costs incurred. This is done by AHP analysis on basis of technical, manufacturer specifications, on- site performance and literature. Finally we can deduce the most suitable offsite technique for mass housing construction for low to medium rise construction and come to a conclusion that choosing GFRG we would reduce overall cost and time of construction on site for housing and it could help to achieve speedy and cost effective construction solution to best suit the growing needs of the urban settlements.

In the context of family-owned enterprises, this study examines the conceptual implications of various entrepreneurial competencies on firm performance. We conceptually examined the relationships between these forms of entrepreneurial competencies and business success, focusing on the idea of entrepreneurial competencies, which comprise competencies of analytical planning, invention, teamwork, leadership, networking, and Enforcement/implementation. Our research, which is based on the literature that is currently accessible, shows that companies that place a high value on entrepreneurial competencies typically perform well due to the competitive advantages they possess over their competitors. The paper provides some conceptual clarification on entrepreneurship in developing nations and makes recommendations for additional empirical research on firms focusing on entrepreneurial competencies that could help policymakers implement more successful programs to support and nurture entrepreneurs for the prosperity of the economy.

There is increased awareness about the factors that affect project success since project stakeholders are constantly working towards a successful project. Although there are many aspects that affect a project's success, project managers are essential. The purpose of this study is to investigate how emotional intelligence (EI) affects project managers' ability to manage projects effectively. Research has been done in fields of relation between emotional intelligence and project success, but influence of emotional intelligence on project manager’s competency in the field is unknown. In this study linear regression is applied to determine the inter relation between emotional intelligence and competency of a project manager. The practical application of linear regression was demonstrated and conclusions were drawn from the findings of the study. The inter-relations between emotional intelligence and competency of project managers are determined along with the degree of dependency. It is important to understand the dependency of competency on soft skills to enhance a project manager’s performance and thus the project’s success.

SIMULATION AND ANALYSIS OF ELECTRO-OPTICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ORGANIC COMPOUNDS IN ORGANIC LIGHT-EMITTING DIODES (OLEDs) 有机发光二极管中有机化合物电光特性的仿真与分析

Organic light emitters (OLEDs) work according to the principles of electroluminescence. These OLEDs are commercially available and can be used in smartphone and television displays due to their low power consumption, flexibility and higher brightness than inorganic de-vices. The copolymer based on 3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene (EDOT) and poly(N-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) was synthesized using previously published procedures. The copolymer was synthesized by an oxidative copolymerization reaction, while the DFT/B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) density function theory method was used to perform quantum calculations. This paper presents the simulation results by SILVACO-TCAD simulation software of the PVK-PEDOT organic matrix with calcium as cathode and ITO as anode. The simulation is based on the distribution of the Langevin recombination model including the proposed structure, and the electrical and optical characteristics, such as current versus voltage, luminescence power, and current versus electric field for different thicknesses, and charge carrier densities of the emitting layer, as well as the I-V characteristics for different temperature values. The model presented here will be useful in the future for optimization of better electrical parameters.

DEVELOPMENT OF HEATING AND COOLING THEMAL MODEL FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE AIR COMPRESSOR BASED ON EXPERIMENTAL DATA 基于实验数据的汽车空压机冷热模型的建立

The paper presents how to determine the heating and cooling thermal model for an air compressor of automotive air suspension system by using experimental data. A set of test bench for the air compressor was firstly established. Based on experiment, temperature of the heat sink of the air compressor and air temperature and pressure inside two tanks were obtained. By analyzing heat exchange process of air compressor, the thermal model of air compressor is constructed, including temperature increasing and decreasing process. The calculated results by means of the presented model show that the thermal model can correctly descript the process of temperature variation of the air compressor.
