A significant role in educational assessment is played by measuring behavioural changes based on clearly specified educational objectives and meaningfully interpreting the results. One of the most significant strategies for evaluating a student's learning performance in the classroom is formative assessment. Formative assessment systems concurrently improve the science and art of teaching and learning. Teachers can help the students grow as students by actively hopeful them to self-assess their skills, test their knowledge retention, giving clear commands and providing the necessary feedback to put them on track. This paper aims to demonstrate the various Formative Assessment Tools for Effective Classroom. The conclusions derived from the teaching fields are then merged to produce an incorporated summing with clear implications for effective didactic academic performance. The assessment of students by the teachers has a powerful direct impact on their learning performance, which may be positive and thus be worthy of very attractive and fruitful learning.

The educational system is presently undergoing a substantial change to improve the teaching-learning process of all engineering domains. This includes the utilization of user-friendly simulation tools as part of the laboratory for an enhanced practical experience on a virtual platform. Owing to the advantages of virtual experimentation, engineering laboratories are now preferably integrated with suitable simulation tools. This paper deals with the integration of simulation tools with undergraduate courses of electrical machinery. For this purpose, a simulation model was developed to conduct the slip test on a three phase synchronous machine on a virtual platform using MATLAB or Simulink for the determination of direct axis reactance Xd and quadrature axis reactance Xq . From the test results, a close relationship between the calculated value of synchronous reactance and rated parameters of the machine is observed, showing the acceptability and suitability of conducted test for the integration of virtual platform with laboratory session. Concept of virtual laboratory may be extended to undergraduate course of electrical machinery during teaching-learning process.

This study attempted to examine whether there were differences between high-achieving and low achieving students on self regulation strategies. Three hundred adolescents participated (Mean age = 17.4 years) to measure their own self regulated learning strategies and collected their academic scores from the record office of the schools. The analysis of the data showed that self regulated learning strategies have statistically significant contribution to the students' school performance. The results of the general MANOVA (Multivariate Analysis of Variance) tests showed that the mean differences for those with high and low achiever were statistically significant for the academic self-efficacy (F = 4.349, p < 0.05), self regulation (F = 4.746, p < 0.05), intrinsic value (F = 3.741, p < 0.05),and time management attitude (F = 7.947, p < 0.05) self regulated learning.
