Etarismo nas organizações: um estudo dos estereótipos em trabalhadores envelhecentes 组织中的年龄主义:老年工人刻板印象的研究

Brazil is facing a rapidly aging population. In 2020 it is projected a median age of 31,8 years. This represents an increase of 12,4% over the average age in 2010. In 2030 this figure should reach 34,6average age and will continue to grow. This process offers challenges and opportunities for organizations, which are becoming increasingly diverse. However there are few studies in the country that focus on the phenomenon of ageism within organizational context. The present study attempted, through an exploratory and descriptive research, to understand whichare the stereotypes perceived by aging people in relation to ageism at work. Through open interviews was possible to identify three categories of stereotypical perceptions: stereotypical perceptions of themselves, stereotypical perceptions of others and stereotypical perceptions of young people. The results can help organizations to develop better intergenerational policies that promote a growing proximity between people who are in different stages of life and ages.

PENSAMENTO ESTRATÉGICO NAS ORGANIZAÇÕES 组织中的战略思维

This paper aims to analyze a new way of thinking about the organizational strategies through a theoretical discussion of the term "strategic thoughts", and its development in organizations. To achieve this, a bibliographical research was conducted in order to go more deeply on the theme and reach a conceptual background, which can support further analysis. Among the results of this research, it is emphasized that the pragmatic characteristics of strategic planningappears to not have more space in the current organizational world, this tool needs to be interconnected to the strategic thought process to bring more effective results. In this regard, the challenged is present in how the organizations could develop a strategic planning that encourages strategic thoughts instead of undermine it, as well as, the development of tools that promote the ability to think strategically in all employees, regardless of the hierarchical levels.

Avaliação do CAPM Condicional Não Paramétrico no Mercado de Ações do Brasil 巴西股票市场的非参数条件CAPM评估

Esse artigo analisa a evolucao do retorno e risco sistematico das carteiras de 11 setores da economia brasileira atraves do modelo do CAPM condicional nao parametrico, proposto por Wang (2002). Sao utilizadas quatro variaveis explicativas: (i) o nivel da producao industrial brasileira; (ii) o agregado monetario M4; (iii) a inflacao, representada pelo Indice de Precos ao Consumidor Amplo (IPCA); e (iv) a taxa de câmbio real-dolar, obtida pela cotacao do dolar PTAX. A amostra compreendeu acoes listadas na BOVESPA no periodo de janeiro de 2002 a dezembro de 2009. Os testes do modelo Wang seguiram tambem a metodologia de Castillo-Spindola (2006) para economias emergentes. Os resultados encontrados indicam que o CAPM condicional nao parametrico de Wang e robusto para a explicacao dos retornos das carteiras da amostra considerada, sendo que duas das quatro variaveis testadas, i.e ., M4 e dolar PTAX, foram significativas ao nivel de 5%.

Finanças Comportamentais: uma investigação com base na teoria do prospecto e no perfil do investidor de estudantes de cursos stricto sensu portugueses 行为金融学:一项基于前景理论和葡萄牙学生投资者概况的研究

Behavioral Finance is a new area of study that seeks to analyze the psychological aspects of individuals in making financial decisions. Studies in this area are intended to verify assumptions made by more traditional theories, in particular, the rationality of economic agents, and they aim to improve the economic and financial model through the incorporation of evidence on investor irrationality. In this context, the objective of this article is to understand the behavior of portuguese post-graduate students to its operations in investments based on behavioral finance. In order to learn about the behavioral profile of investors and prospective investors, a survey was conducted to collect quantitative data using a questionnaire comprising 15 questions for 130 stricto sensu graduate students of Lisbon – Portugal. It was possible to identify the predominant conservative and moderate profiles. It was observed that students showed risk aversion in the field of gains and risk propensity in the field of losses. So it is possible to say that the reflection effect occurred in this study.

CARACTERÍSTICAS RESILIENTES DO EMPREENDEDOR ASSOCIADAS AO INSUCESSO EMPRESARIAL 企业家与创业相关的居留特征

This study aims to analyze the resilient characteristics of entrepreneurs in order to understand if and how their behavior can be associated with business failure. This is a qualitative and exploratory study and it was used the technique of content analysis, coupled with the application of Defensive Functioning Scale, to analyze the entrepreneurs behavior before business failure. We interviewed 13 entrepreneurs from Sao Paulo who experienced business failure. As main results, it is evident the omnipotence style presented in 12 of the 13 respondents; affiliation, confirmed in 9 of the 13 respondents, and actuation, in 7 of the 13 respondents before business failure. Considering that omnipotence was the behavioral trait more evident, this behavior can demonstrate the arrogance of the individual against the others, which may influence the decisions of the entrepreneur, employee motivation and customer dissatisfaction, thereby resulting, business failure.

Gestão por Competências na Administração Pública de Portugal: uma análise a partir do ciclo interligado de legitimação e de validação 葡萄牙公共行政中的能力管理:合法性和验证的相互关联周期的分析

The objective of this article is to analyze the model of people management by competences of Portugal Public Administration from the Interconnected Cycle of Legitimation and Qualitative Validation, proposed by Munck, Munck and Borim-de-Souza (2011). The categories considered were: constitutive definition, construct validity, composed by face validity, content validity, face validity and reliability, and predictive validity. The analysis of Portugal competence management model has allowed critical points to be identified between premises, purposes and objectives of it. In sum, from this study it was concluded that errors can circle the model completely, since has been verified some weaknesses and limitations in construct validity, specifically in the content validity, and in predictive validity, on which the competence management model was developed. In its scope, this article has identified issues that need to be emphasized, as the process of competence defining, and discussed key issues regarding the implementation and validation of competence models, for example, in relation to contributions of the model for individual and organizational performances, relevant to both public and private organizations.

PLANEJAMENTO ESTRATÉGICO PESSOAL: A CAMINHO DE UM REFERENCIAL 个人战略规划:走向基准

This article aimed to identify the profile of people who use the Personal Strategic Planning, and from this, evaluate the theoretical and empirical elements needed for the development of a methodological framework for Personal Strategic Planning. Extending the concept of Strategic Planning from the organizational to the personal life, the research is developed based on the literature of Personal Strategic Planning. The collection of primary data was conducted through a questionnaire with 35 questions, available for more than 60 days at two institutional sites of the UFSC – Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Altogether, 345 people responded the questionnaire. Among the results of the survey it is highlighted that the meaning of "wealth" goes beyond issues related to money, people in the age group of 26-30 years are the ones who most plan and 75% of respondents use some form of personal planning.

Extending the concept of Strategic Planning from the organizational to the personal life, the research is developed based on the literature of Personal Strategic Planning. The collection of primary data was conducted through a questionnaire with 35 questions, available for more than 60 days at two institutional sites of the UFSC – Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Altogether, 345 people responded the questionnaire. Every time organizations need adaptations to stay alive. We consider the analysis of their external environment an essential tool in this adaptive process, in particular, know your stakeholders. This article aims to present different approaches to organizational stakeholders, contributing concurrently with academia and companies who choose to analyze and act on its stakeholders, and possibly have a prominent market. We highlight the approach of stakeholder management, Edward Freeman, the model of corporate relations with stakeholders Ann Svendsen approach and commitment of stakeholders, Steven Walker and Jeffrey Marr.

Brazilian Administration Review: uma análise do perfil da produção acadêmica científica no período de 2004 a 2012 sob a ótica da rede social e da bibliometria 巴西行政评论:从社会网络和文献计量学的角度分析2004 - 2012年的科学学术成果概况

This article explored the academic scientific production of Brazilian Administration Review, from 2004 to 2012. The study was based on a study of bibliometric and social network, using descriptive statistics, in 159 identified articles. The main results of this study were predominantly work in partnership; Machado-da-Silva, C. L. was the most prolific author; Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Sao Paulo was the Higher Education Institution (HEI) had published more; coauthorship network centrality and between HEIs; DiMaggio, P., was the most cited researcher, the viewed more words in the titles and the keywords were: management, and organizational performance. We conclude macro so that the achievements of the Brazilian Administration Review, reflects the world of academic research in the area of administration, thereby helping to develop, disseminate and socialize through the area of scientific articles published in national scholarly literature.
